Renee Paquette announced her return to WWE Backstage this week
WWE host and presenter Renee Paquette announced via video on Twitter that WWE Backstage would be making a comeback to Fox Sports Network.
The show aired on FS1 and made its debut in November 2019. It was hosted by Renee Paquette herself, alongside Booker T.
WWE stars such as Paige and Mark Henry were regular contributors on the show. However, Covid-19 shut down the show’s productions in March 2020.
It is now back on the Fox Sports network, and so is Renee Paquette (AKA Renee Young), who had called quits from the promotion last year.
Before her comeback, Paul Heyman made a mention of her on Talking Smack a week ago. And within a few days of that, she has announced her return.
This led to one fan speculating if the super-agent Heyman had a hand in her coming back to the show. Heyman replied to it with his usual streak of cockiness and overconfidence.
Even if he didn’t have any role in it, he would surely not let such a moment for glory pass by. He wrote on his Twitter account:
“I’m #SpecialCounsel to @WWERomanReigns. I’m the #GOAT. My words carry weight. That’s VERY good news for some people. And very BAD news for others. Make a move – text me – (917) 634-4995″
He stated that his words could be ‘BAD news’ for some people, perhaps as a reference to Kayla Braxton.
Their argument on Talking Smack earlier this month, albeit just for the show, flared up and Heyman threatened to replace her with Paquette.
Maybe it is just the stars aligning perfectly, maybe it was a ploy by WWE to hype up Paquette’s return, or maybe Heyman actually had something to do with it; Nevertheless, we have one of the most charismatic WWE presenters back.
