Roman Reigns Special counsel Paul Heyman speaks for the first time since getting fired
Last Friday Night, SmackDown saw Universal Champion Roman Reigns firing Paul Heyman’s manager. He hugged his Special Council and thanked him for 40 years of service to his family before shockingly firing him and also knocking him down with a Superman Punch out of nowhere.
Although Brock Lesnar did come out to make the save, he took out The Usos and hit Reigns with two F5’s. Additionally, WWE has announced that The Advocate will be speaking publicly for the first time since being attacked by The Tribal Chief.
“Did @WWERomanReigns just FIRE @HeymanHustle?! #SmackDown“
Paul Heyman and his segment was not a part of this week’s taped SmackDown episode
This week’s SmackDown will be taped and not live. Last week, the show was recorded at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, with no reports of a Paul Heyman segment being part of it.
Which gives you an indication that Heyman’s segment will be some form of a backstage segment, either as a promo or in an interview.
Heyman is the center point of the story between Reigns and Lesnar, and it has hit a significant twist after The Bloodline fired Heyman. Now, as the rivalry heats up, it will be interesting to see whether Heyman will switch sides or is this just a master plan.
WWE also confirmed the SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Charlotte Flair and Toni Storm and a Gauntlet Match to determine the number one contender for Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
