King Baron Corbin was unhappy with one fan calling for his release from WWE
WWE dealt a huge blow to its roster by releasing several stars and backstage staff last night.
Vince McMahon fired several WWE personnel with many breaking down on social media. Some, like Zack Ryder, tried to stay positive amid the sackings, but this was a dark day in the history of the promotion.
Many former champions were also let go with some big names such as Kurt Angle, Rusev, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson also facing the axe.
Many WWE stars who remained on the books were heartbroken, but this was a cost-cutting exercise due to the coronavirus pandemic.
WWE has continued doing shows in front of empty arenas, but the lack of fans has been hurting the company.
This was bad enough to deal with but some fans on social media have hit out at other stars too. One wanted King Baron Corbin to get the sack, and it is safe to say, the heel was not impressed.
Corbin lashed out at the particular person and asked him to re-evaluate his life:
Most of the talent that was released or fired weren’t being used much on TV. WWE does have a bloated roster but taking this decision during these tough times is a bit of a risk.
There is a lot of heat on the company as it is one of the few shows that is still going on despite the coronavirus pandemic.
Rusev, Angle and several others could have still done a job, however, they weren’t in any major storylines.
It will be interesting to see what happens next after so many stars were released. Corbin is right in hitting out at fans calling for others to be sacked in this tough time.
The King of the Ring winner has done a decent job in recent months, and is one of the best heels in the business.
