Bayley and Tamina were involved in a Championship match at MITB 2020.
WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defeated Tamina in at Money In The Bank 2020 on Sunday to retain her title.
The two were involved in a feud since Tamina returned to in-ring action prior to WrestleMania 36.
And it all came to head on Sunday night, when they went at each other with everything at the latest PPV event.
Bayley controlled the offence for a large part of the bout, targeting Tamina’s knee in cut down her power game. However, Tamina came back strongly and looked set for the win when she hit the Role Model a super kick and a Samoan drop.
But Bayley’s ‘best friend’ Sasha Banks interfered, causing enough distraction for Bayley to hit a crucifix pin for the victory.
Bayley shows off battle scar
Following the event, Bayley took to Twitter where she posted a picture showing a nasty facial injury she had picked up during the match.
Taking a dig at her opponent, the reigning champion wrote in the caption:
“@TaminaSnuka left her size 27 shoe print on my face!!!!!!!!!! Have some respect for your champion lololollolololllll”
With the battle against Tamina seemingly out of the way, things seem poised for the much-teased Bayley-Sasha Banks feud to break out.
Banks’ turn has been hinted at week after week and even after Bayley’s win against Tamina on Sunday, The Boss was seen eyeing her best friend’s championship.
