Kofi Kingston is preparing for Survivor Series but a gym accident left him with a deep cut above the eye

Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has made a seamless transition to his life on Raw. He was traded to the brand alongside Xavier Woods as the New Day were broken up.

Big E remained on SmackDown and the tag champions were left a little broken after leaving E behind. However, they are now the Raw tag champions after swapping titles with The Street Profits.

The pair have defended their titles extremely well over the years and should be in action at Survivor Series against the Profits.

The wrestling ring is a dangerous place as many stars have picked up injuries and cuts over the years. However, Kingston got a cut over his eye while trying to set up some gym equipment. Kingston posted an image of the injury on Twitter and even shared what actually happened:

“In non voting related news, I just hit myself in the head with a wrench trying to install a pull up bar to my squat rack.”

Ready for a battle

Kingston and Woods look great as a pair and it will be interesting to see how they do against the Profits at Survivor Series.

The two teams are at the top of their game, and they should put on quite a treat. Survivor Series sees champions from opposite brands facing each other as Raw vs SmackDown reaches a new level.

However, this year’s Survivor Series will not feature NXT as the Black and Gold brand have not been advertised at all.

The reasons haven’t been confirmed by WWE, however, reports suggest that Vince McMahon wants to ensure the safety of all stars from Covid and wants them to avoid meeting as much as possible.

The other reason is that WWE does not want to project NXT on the same levels as Raw and SmackDown.
