Apollo Crews shares messages after suffering a knee injury
WWE superstar Apollo Crews has shared messages of positivity and optimism after he picked up a knee injury earier this week.
Crews had been getting a solid push post WrestleMania 36. He had qualified for the 2020 Money in the Bank ladder match next month.
However, a knee injury he picked up on Monday’s episode of Raw has ruled out him of the PPV event in May.
The incident happened during a bout between Crews and Andrade for the United States Championship.
El Idolo had been targeting Crews’ knee throughout the fight, but he fought back hard. And when it seemed like Crews was set to come out on top, his left knee gave in, forcing the referee to call the match in favour of Andrade.
Post the match, Crews was seen crying backstage in crutches. Soon after, WWE released a statement confirming that the 32-year-old will not be involved in the Money in the Bank next month.
Crews issues positive message
Given that he was enjoying a push after being in the periphery for a long time, the injury is sure to come as a blow for Crews. However, the wrestler seems to be taking it in his stride and staying positive.
Crews posted two messages on his Instagram on Tuesday, the first of which read “#bounceback”. The second one was a spiritual quote, that read,
“When it’s your turn, it doesn’t matter if you’re at the back of the line. God will move you to the front!!”
Following the injury on Monday, Andrade had posted a message issuing an apology to Crews. It now remains to be seen for how long the WWE superstar is sidelined due to this latest setback.
