Some have claimed that the current WWE female stars aren’t tough enough but Mia Yim and a host of other stars posted injury and bikini pictures to prove them wrong
WWE as a product has changed and developed for the good over the past decades or so. Women wrestlers in the business were initially objectified a lot and well, they weren’t exactly known for their wrestling.
All of that has changed thanks to the likes of Sasha Banks, Natalya, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and more.
WWE had a special Women’s revolution a few years back and now many of the female wrestlers feature in the main event of PPVs too.
However, some people are still unsure about the talent of the women stars. Sure, there are some that still need to develop their in-ring abilities but there is a lot of quality when it comes to female wrestlers in WWE now.
Mia Yim, who portrays the Reckoning character in Retribution, hit out at a fan who claimed that most female wrestlers just show off their skin.
However, Yim is one of the toughest women in the business and claimed that the women can do both, pose in bikinis and battle in the ring.
She also posted a photo of herself in a bikini and a gruesome injury that she picked up from a ladder match.
Yim’s tweet gained a lot of traction from her peers. Naomi, a former SmackDown Women’s Champion, was also quick to post her picture of a serious injury and her bikini picture.
Carmella had another great status in all this and even brought up Women History Month to show how tough and glamorous she is:
“Women can be sexy, smart, kick ass in the ring, cut a great promo AND be positive role models. We can do it all! We don’t have to fit in ONE box.”
Dana Brooke and Chelsea Green also posted several photos and this got a lot of support from the WWE Universe.
Yim is called the Head Baddie in Charge and she proved it with her statement. Women’s wrestling has changed a lot for the good over the years, and some of the best WWE matches over the past decade have featured women performers.
