The United States Championship got a new look with an interesting clash set for Extreme Rules
MVP has a chance to become a three-time United States Champion as the Championship got a new look.
WWE has a history of changing the look and feel of their titles, something the WWE/Universal titles have seen over the years.
Daniel Bryan had a ‘green’ title which was environmentally friendly while John Cena had a revolving one. Bray Wyatt also had one which looked like the Fiend. However, WWE decided to remake the US title with MVP coming out to show it off.
MVP will face the current champion Apollo Crews at Extreme Rules. He already has a win over Crews and it will be interesting to see how this clash goes.
As for the new US title, it does have America written on all over thanks to that incredible eagle taking up all the space.
The typical red, white and blue are also there, and this title does look better than what WWE has produced over the years.
New title equals new champion?
MVP has been on a tear since returning to WWE. He might have thought that his last match came after the Royal Rumble, but he has found a new lease on life with Bobby Lashley by his side.
The former US Champion has been electric on the microphone too and has tried to add more wrestlers to his stable.
So far, Ricochet, Cedric Alexander and Crews have all declined to join MVP. However, he still has Lashley by his side and he just might get the title from Crews.
MVP and Lashley teamed up on this week’s Raw as they got a tag team win under their belts. That should give MVP additional confidence going into Extreme Rules too.
