Roman Reigns destroyed his cousin, Jey Uso, at Clash of Champions 2020

The Big Dog Roman Reigns put on quite a show at WWE Clash of Champions 2020 against his cousin Jey Uso.

Reigns didn’t allow family to get in his way as he wanted to be called the Tribal Chief. Jey declined to do so on several times and was systematically destroyed by Reigns over the course of the match.

Reigns was willing to stop the beating if Jey confirmed that The Big Dog was the Tribal Chief but the Uso wasn’t going to give in.

This led to his brother, Jimmy, come out and save him by throwing in the towel. Reigns then wore the same ceremonial flower necklace that Jey had worn ahead of the fight, and he seems to still be taunting his cousin.

The Universal Champion posted a couple of photos after his devastating TKO win. He didn’t share too many words and just brought out the difference in “levels” between the two.

Groomed for success

Reigns had spoken about the difference in levels between the two stars ahead of Clash of Champions.

While he acknowledged that both are form the same family and have the same bloodline, he was groomed differently.

Reigns also claimed that Jey was trying to reach the next level while the Big Dog has been at this level for a long time.

The performance proved there was a gulf in class between the two but Jey had a flicker of hope in the match.

However, an inadvertent low blow finished off all his chances, and Reigns seems set to dominate SmackDown for a while.

This was an excellent match and possibly one of the best main events of the year. Most knew that Reigns was going to keep the title but the way he did it, that set a benchmark of what a heel should be like.
