WWE Raw Superstar Eva Marie makes her return to the company alongside new protégé, Piper Niven.
The NXT Superstar was scheduled to face Naomi on WWE Raw. Instead, Piper Niven made her debut and dominated the entire match beating Naomi in convincing fashion.
Piper, who entered the match was on the front foot throughout and even delivered a thunderous Michinoku Driver. The match was too hot to handle for ‘The Glow.’
Following the match, Marie grabbed a mic and declared the winner of the match as ‘Eva Marie’ before receiving an embrace from Niven outside the ring.
Earlier, fans took to social media and seemed indecent about their comments about the debutant. Several fans reacted on Twitter joking about debutant Niven’s weight which infuriated WWE Superstars. Few reacted saying:
Meanwhile, Eva Marie returns to WWE after 4 years away from the spotlight.
Piper arrived to the WWE scene at the 2017 Mae Young Classic. She most commonly wrestled in Glasgow-based Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW). She has also been wrestling in Japan, Scotland with her old ring name – ‘Viper’.
Even though Piper Niven is a NXT Superstar for the last four years, the company is aiming to bring in a new in-ring name for the star. According to Fightful Select, her name will hence be “Dew Drop” or “Doudrop.”
Nothing has been confirmed as yet, but a thunderous partnership with Marie is definitely happening. Niven follows in the footsteps of fellow Scottish WWE Superstars – Drew McIntyre and Nikki Cross to join the red brand.
