Edge is yet to decide who he faces at WrestleMania 37 but reports claim it is Roman Reigns
WWE legend Edge is set to challenge Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 37, according to reports.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Forbes) claimed that this is the main event of the grand show. However, he couldn’t confirm when this was going to be announced but it was in the pipeline.
Edge made an incredible comeback from injury at last year’s Royal Rumble but failed to win the match. He then started a feud with Randy Orton and defeated him at WrestleMania 36. The Rated-R Superstar then suffered a torn tricep at Backlash where he lost to Orton.
Edge then made a return at the Royal Rumble 2021 and won the match despite being the first entrant. He now has a shot at any of the top titles but hasn’t made a decision yet. The Canadian served a warning to Drew McIntyre on Raw this week and is set to feature on NXT and SmackDown too.
Finn Balor is the NXT champion and seems ready to meet up with Edge. Reigns, for his part, has been incredible since winning the Universal title and it seems this is the match that will be made.
Edge vs Roman Reigns will be a blockbuster for WrestleMania 37
Reigns is the perfect heel at the moment and has been excellent since teaming up with Paul Heyman.
Edge vs McIntyre would have been great too but that would mean two faces going at it for the title.
Reigns vs Edge can have a great story built around it and with Heyman at play, there could be some fun promos as well.
Either way, Reigns vs Edge will also be a great wrestling match and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
This would be the perfect main event for the show too after Edge’s incredible run. The Rated-R Superstar has achieved almost everything in WWE but this comeback title win would rank up there with one of his greatest achievements.
