WWE had major plans for Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux prior to releases

Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux were released by WWE in a shock move recently

Things just don’t seem to be work out for NXT talents moving up to the main roster. We have seen big names such as Keith Lee and Shinsuke Nakamura struggle and inevitably get lost.

However, things have taken a crazy turn in WWE in recent years with major cuts taking place from all across the roster.

Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Ruby Riott, Lana and Aleister Black are some of the names that have faced the axe from the WWE heads.

Recently, 18 stars were released by the company which included real-life pair Scarlett Bordeaux and Karrion Kross.

The pair had signed with WWE a couple of years back and Kross made his main roster debut recently as well.

He was built as a monster and had won the NXT title too, but things just didn’t go his way. WWE seemed to forget about him creatively and he was cut alongside his partner, Bordeaux

However, Dave Meltzer (h/t Cagesideseats) claims that WWE had spoken to Kross and Bordeaux about a major push just before their release.

Meltzer added that this would make Kross a “top star” but it was just not to be.

Another story of what could have been

WWE has made it a habit of letting go of people before they reach their potential. Lee is another big name to have been cut despite making it to the main roster.

Black and Miro were also cut out, but the pair are doing well on AEW. It is incredible how WWE snaps up the best talents and then lets them go to waste.

Kross and Bordeaux have spoken about their future plans on social media, and it will be interesting to see which company they join to perform once their no-compete clauses are done.
