WWE announce the inaugural Queens Crown tournament

The WWE recently announced that they will be starting a women’s counterpart to the King of the Ring called Queen’s Crown. This will also be the first ever women’s single elimination held in the WWE.

WWE also confirmed the match that will kick off the Queen’s Crown tournament on this week’s Friday night SmackDown. The company took to Twitter to break out the news where it said:

“The first-ever #QueensCrown Tournament commences on #SmackDown this Friday as @YaOnlyLivvOnce clashes with her adversary @CarmellaWWE in a first-round matchup. Who are you rooting for?”

As announced by the WWE Liv Morgan is set to take on Carmella who is her recent rival to kick off the inaugural tournament.

When will the first Queen’s Crown tournament end?

The first ever women’s counterpart to the King of the Ring is set to kick off on SmackDown of 8th October. The tournament will be a multi-week event and will end on the Crown Jewel PPV. The schedule for Queen’s Crown tournament:

Carmella will kick off the Queen’s Crown tournament against Liv Morgan (WWE)
  • 1st Night – October 8, 2021 Smackdown
  • 2nd Night – October 11, 2021 RAW
  • 3rd Night – October 15, 2021 SmackDown
  • 4th Night – October 18, 2021 RAW
  • Finals – October 21, 2021 Crown Jewel PPV

WWE plan to create history by hosting the finals of Queen’s Crown tournament at the Crown Jewel PPV. The event will be held in Saudi Arabia where women’s wrestling was banned until just two years back. The other rounds in the inaugural tournament have not been revealed as of yet.
