‘The Viper’ Randy Orton recently completed 20 years in WWE. His first televised match in WWE was against Hardcore Holly on April 25, 2002, episode of SmackDown which the Legend Killer won. The third-generation wrestler didn’t look back since.
Randy Orton is a 14-time world champion in WWE. He has wrestled greats like Ric Flair, Triple H, Mick Foley, Edge, Shawn Michaels, and John Cena, just to name a few. Cena and Orton started around the same time. While the leader of Cenation ventured into Hollywood after an immensely successful WWE career, Orton kept on working for the company. He has done a great job in putting over new talent while never becoming an afterthought in a historic career.
The man who has withstood the test of time has made an interesting prediction saying that when Roman Reigns will move on to Hollywood, he will still be in WWE. Orton said he wants everyone to remember his legacy as someone who did it longer than anybody else. Roman Reigns is the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
Alongside winning 14 world championships, Orton has won the Intercontinental and United States Championships on one occasion each. He is also a four-time tag team champion and a two-time Royal Rumble winner.
This week on RAW, Randy Orton’s career spanning 20 years and still going strong was celebrated. Orton’s tag team partner Matt Riddle came out to the ring while the rest of the roster stood outside.
We saw a vignette of some of the memorable moments of Randy Orton. Riddle asked Orton to come out to the ring. The Viper was greeted with a well-deserved standing ovation. He said he was far from over which received a huge pop.
Later in the night, RK-Bro teamed up with Ezekiel and Cody Rhodes to face the team of The Usos, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens.
Towards the closing stages of the match, Orton delivered RKOs to all four of his opponents and got the pinfall victory for his team to cap off a memorable night.
