Randy Orton speaks about move set of partner Matt Riddle
Randy Orton and Matt Riddle have had an interesting chemistry over recent weeks on Monday Night RAW. The two have been exchanging their moves to finish off their singles matches vs Xavier Woods.
Orton took to Twitter to say that, although, he thinks that the former NXT star’s moves are effective, they are simply “stupid” in their names.
Orton used the Bro Derek to end the match with Riddle at ringside. In the previous week on RAW, Riddle used Orton’s finisher RKO on Woods to win the match.
Both stars have been touted to get a chance to win the RAW Tag Team Championships. Orton has never been a tag team for a while. He was on a bitter feud with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss.
This is the most unconventional pairing that Orton or Riddle could have imagined. Orton, earlier on in his career teamed up with Edge to form the Rated RKO. Orton has been out of the WWE Championship picture for a while now, so it is highly likely that he’ll be closer to the gold with Riddle as his partner.
Riddle, meanwhile, was the United States Champion, before losing it at WrestleMania 37 to Sheamus. The reign began after he won at Elimination Chamber and lasted a mere 49 days.
Will RK-Bro win the Tag Team Championship?
Riddle said that the pairing was also a start of a “beautiful friendship,” much to Orton’s dismay. Riddle also assured that the duo would win the gold in the near future on RAW.
AJ Styles and Omos are the current champions in their first reign as a team, after beating the New Day at WrestleMania 37.
Meanwhile, former WWE legend Eric Bischoff recently spoke on his podcast where he picked Riddle to be the future of the company. He also said that the experience of someone like Randy Orton would be massive in his career.
Orton and Riddle have already beaten tag teams on RAW like Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. They have continuously progressed since the formation of the RK-Bro.
The champions will be wary of their soon to be challengers and will be hoping that they can retain the gold. Orton and Riddle are potential champions, but only time will tell if they would get a chance to fulfill it.
