Randy Orton has been moved to WWE’s ‘disabled/inactive list’ after missing RAW
Randy Orton hasn’t appeared on RAW and has been missing since his loss to John Morrison on the June 21 episode of the red brand.
He lost the qualifying match for Money in the Bank, and has been missing since. According to a new report, it seems that he has been moved to the disabled/inactive list.
His presence was expected in the build-up to SummerSlam, but was absent from this week’s tapings as well. We will have to wait and see what is in store for Orton, who is now in a tag team with Matt Riddle.
The pair were close to the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship scene, but has now been absent for almost a month. According to sources, Orton is expected to be back for the August 2 episode of RAW, 20 days before SummerSlam is held in Las Vegas.
Orton has been a fan favourite throughout his career as both a heel and a face. He faces an interesting experience with Riddle, who has seen a resurgent 2021 in his newfound main roster career.
The pair were touted to face AJ Styles and Omos, but now those plans seem to be on hold.
Orton and Riddle have been splendid as a tag team, since their formation. However, they did not get a chance to win gold, as they were close to engaging in a storyline with the champions. With SummerSlam nearing, a storyline could emerge but will bank on the emergence of Randy Orton.
Despite his current absence, Riddle is a lone wolf on RAW even appearing during John Cena’s segment. Riddle also participated in the Money in the Bank match, but was unsuccessful. The important note is that Orton has not been mysteriously absent for a long while without a valid reason.
We will wait and see when Orton re-emerges to WWE and Monday Night Raw?
