Renee Paquette didn’t like The Undertaker introducing singer Pitbull at the concert in Saudi Arabia
Last night, the Undertaker was in Saudi Arabia not to appear at WWE Crown Jewel but to introduce the Pitbull concert, which didn’t seem to impress Renee Paquette.
She recently spoke on Busted Open Radio(h/t Ringside News) about that Pitbull shouldn’t have been introduced by someone. At least not from The Undertaker in his full attire. Renne said that someone else could have done a better job.
Paquette corrected that Undertaker didn’t do worse, but if it was done by someone happy go babyface, it would have looked better. She said that if someone from New Day had done that, it could have made more sense.
“I just feel it should’ve been somebody else introducing him…I feel like seeing the Undertaker, in the big black hat, in full Undertaker gear, introducing ‘the 305, the Grammy Award Winning artist.’ Bringing on Pitbull that way, I feel it could’ve been somebody else. I don’t know what the entire crew is in Saudi Arabia right now, but I feel like maybe somebody else could’ve been better for that job…
Renee Paquette wants to change WWE’s approach towards The Undertaker
Paquette continued speaking about Taker and mentioned that fans have already seen Undertaker returning to WWE even after retiring in unfavorable situations. She said that these things need to stop as people are smart enough to remember The Undertaker.
We don’t have to do the same thing again and again. In the end, she mentioned that it would have been great if The Undertaker had introduced Slayer, Metallica in some concert, but the positing of genres that Pitbull plays doesn’t match The Undertaker.
“I love the Undertaker as much as everybody else. Huge fan…But did we already kind of start to lose a little bit of that mystique with the retired, not retired, he’s back in the ring and we’re seeing him in these unfavorable situations. Have we already done that? It needs to stop, I think it needs to stop. We all have little goldfish brains; we can forget things and we want to remember The Undertaker as The Undertaker…
“I think we can all get back to that to a certain degree. If you keep doing these things, it’s kind of hard to get back to that. I don’t want to believe that the Undertaker knows who Pitbull is. The Undertaker introducing Megadeath or Slayer or Metallica, I can get on board with that. It is just the position of different genres that I’m just not down to clown with. I don’t like it.”
It was speculated that Taker would be at the Crown Jewel, but that didn’t happen, and Renne mentioned that it may be its time to let the Undertaker rest in peace and try something new.
