WWE decided to release Zelina Vega in a shocking move that caught the WWE Universe out
Zelina Vega became the latest release from WWE, which came as a bit of a shock to the wrestling world.
La Muneca was one of the rising stars on SmackDown and had been involved in title bouts until recently. She was one of the best on the microphone too and had started her singles run in decent fashion after pairing up with Andrade since their NXT days.
However, things escalated quickly as she was released by WWE and rumours suggested that this came about her Twitch streams.

She also had a post about unionising in WWE, which is a rather big discussion. The Twitch issue is another problem that WWE have made worse for themselves, and Vega was extremely upset on her live stream recently.
While details are yet to be out about the real reason for her release, WWE wished her well. The former WWE star also thanked her supporters for their support in an emotional tweet:

Stars back Vega to shine
Many non-WWE stars backed Vega’s demands for unionising and it will be interesting to see what is next for her.
Vega is a huge Twitch streamer and she is great at cosplays too. She could also end up on another wrestling promotion but only after her no-compete clause is done.
However, some big names also backed her to shine. Paige, who has had her problems with WWE’s third-party streaming policy wasn’t happy with the decision to release Vega:

Renee Young, who recently left WWE to follow other projects, had a great message for Vega too. She claimed that Vega would end up doing something great as she was extremely talented and had magic:

Vega was one of the best things on WWE as a manager and she could have made it big as a singles star. She is a former TNA tag champion from her earlier days and it will be interesting to see what is next for her.
