Mustafa Ali seems to be targeting Kofi Kingston after he moved to Raw after the 2020 WWE Draft

The first night of the WWE 2020 Draft saw some huge moves being made with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods moving to Raw.

Stephanie McMahon confirmed that the New Day were split up as Big E remained on SmackDown. That left the trio shocked as Kingston and Woods had just won the SmackDown Tag Team titles.

While this move shocked a few around the WWE Universe, Mustafa Ali, the leader of Retribution already had his next target in mind.

Ali has been excellent after being revealed as the leader of Retribution last week and his social media game has been on point too.

Retribution have sent warnings to several stars since they got their social media handles, and Ali also sent a message to Kingston.

It wasn’t much but the pair have a history in WWE despite not really being rivals.

Could have been Ali instead of Kofi

The clock would need to be turned back to the time Kingston got his crazy push which led him to win the WWE title.

However, it all started at the Elimination Chamber PPV where he replaced Ali in the title match. Kingston reached the final clash against then Champion Daniel Bryan but ended up losing the clash.

This still got the fans behind him and he was pushed by WWE till he won the title at WrestleMania 35.

Kingston became WWE’s first African-born WWE Champion and also led to wild celebrations with the New Day.

That all could have been Ali’s story and while Kingston wasn’t responsible for the injury, the Retribution leader seems to have revenge on his mind.

It would be amazing if WWE pushed on with this storyline in the coming weeks too. WWE Creative has been lazy with writing in some sections but keeping this in mind and starting off an Ali vs Kingston rivalry could be epic.
