Dominik Mysterio seems to be following the footsteps of his father, Rey

Dominik Mysterio has vowed vengeance against Seth Rollins after the Messiah injured Rey Mysterio’s eye at Extreme Rules.

On this week’s WWE Raw, Dominik took the fight to Rollins and Murphy as he was called out by the pair.

However, the younger Mysterio also used a kendo stick to even the odds and injured Rollins. The big talking point was Dominik and Rollins facing off at SummerSlam 2020, with not much in-ring action from the youngster Mysterio.

That all changed on this week’s show as not only did Dominik hit a 619, he also flew from the top rope, just like his father would.

Dominik cleaned out Rollins and impressed his father too.

Rey posted a photo of Dominik flying through the sky with a poster from his WCW Nitro days.

The senior Mysterio also posted a great caption highlighting the blood that Dominik carries:

Not Dominik’s first rodeo

While this would be the biggest match in Dominik’s young WWE career, he has been involved in crazy storylines in the past.

There was this showdown between the late Eddie Guerrero and Rey back in 2005’s SummerSlam. This was for the custody of Dominik with the storyline that Guerrero had helped Rey get a child.

While Rey won the ladder match for Dominik’s custory, the younger Mysterio was shown several times in WWE shows and the PPV too.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Dominik does nearly 15 years after that legendary appearance. The youngster does have the moves of his father but is bigger than Rey. That should help him but he has to be careful when taking on someone as dangerous as Rollins.
