Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair are set to star at WrestleMania 37 this year
Rhea Ripley has already made her mark on Raw after getting a title shot on her debut. The Australian is a former NXT and NXT UK Champion but faces her toughest test, possibly, at WrestleMania 37.
The Nightmare will battle Raw Women’s Champion Asuka for the title. While some have questioned how she could get a title shot just after coming on the show, the Aussie certainly has the ability to put on quite a show.
Ripley already has WrestleMania experience as she fought Charlotte Flair last year. The Aussie lost her NXT title but she loved that match, despite no fans in the arena.
Ripley was speaking to SI and also brought up what her aim is on Raw:
“My goal is to become the face of Monday Night Raw.
“I accomplished a lot in NXT. I’m very proud of that. It’s made me so confident in my ability, and I am ready for the next challenge.”
Ripley has it in her to be dominant in WWE but there is another star on the rise. Bianca Belair is also set to wrestle at WrestleMania 37. The EST of WWE took a different route to Mania by winning the 2021 Royal Rumble.
She faces Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s title and Ripley wants to face the EST of WWE at the grandest stage of them all:
“We came up in NXT together, and now we’re taking on Raw and SmackDown together.
“I want her to win her match at WrestleMania, and I want to win my, too. I’ll be the face of Raw, and she can become the face of SmackDown, and one day, we can headline WrestleMania.”
Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair are the future of the WWE Women’s division
While Banks, Charlotte, Bayley and Asuka are some top stars in the women’s division, Belair and Ripley are part of the next generation.
WWE has a ton of quality female talents and it is great seeing two NXT stars progressing well on the main roster.
Belair and Ripley have battled countless times on NXT and it will be interesting to see who does well at Mania.
There is a chance WWE could crown two new champions after WrestleMania. Ripley and Belair would be quite a battle in future WrestleManias but they have a couple of tough tests coming up in a couple of weeks.
