Becky Lynch suffered scars courtesy of a hair-whipping she received at the hands of Bianca Belair a few weeks ago on RAW – this time it was Rhea Ripley
This week’s episode of RAW from the Allstate Arena saw Rhea Ripley getting the scars owing to Queen Zelina who used her sceptre to hit the Nightmare.
Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan teamed up this week on RAW to take on the team of Shayna Baszler and Natalya from SmackDown.
Both teams are part of the Fatal-4 way match at WrestleMania for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. That match also involves the teams of Sasha Banks and Naomi from SmackDown and the current champions Queen Zelina and Carmella.
Ripley and Baszler started the match and it was power versus technique on display. Ripley tagged in Morgan who used her quickness to good effect. Natalya and Baszler, however, turned the tide and kept Morgan in their corner of the ring. They did well to isolate Morgan from Rhea for a good amount of time and kept wearing her down.
When Morgan finally reached out to make the tag, Baszler pulled Ripley down from the ring apron and took her out. Natalya and Morgan continued brawling inside the ring and Baszler entered the ring to get the numbers advantage. Natalya delivered a thunderous assisted clothesline on Morgan to pick up the win.
Carmella and Queen Zelina took out all four competitors after the match had ended. Ripley was attending to her partner when Zelina came from behind used her scepter to whip Ripley.
Ripley later shared a picture wearing the bruises and scars from Zelina’s ambush.
Is it all okay between Queen Zelina and Carmella?
Queen Zelina and Carmella lost a tag team match against Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley a couple of weeks ago. That win gave Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley the chance to enter the match at WrestleMania for the tag titles. Last week, Zelina lost to Morgan in singles competition and Carmella was to blame for both the losses.
Carmella has been seen all of a sudden forgetting about her matches and starting to talk to her fiance Corey Graves who is on commentary duty on RAW. Zelina hasn’t taken this fondly and she addressed the elephant in the room this week on WWE’s red brand in a backstage segment.
She told Carmella that she better focus on their match at WrestleMania which is now a Fatal-4 way. Carmella was busy on her cell phone and stopped Zelina mid-way saying she knows how a Fatal-4 way works. Zelina was annoyed seeing Carmella’s nonchalance and the Queen decided to throw her tag team partner’s phone away.
Carmella retorted saying the phone was more expensive than Zelina’s crown and she slapped her. Zelina and Carmella got involved in a slugfest and referees had to intervene to pull them apart.
During the aforementioned tag team match this week, Carmella came ringside and looked as if she was describing Zelina’s actions to Graves. As the match ended, she attacked Shayna Baszler and Natalya on the outside while Zelina was assaulting Ripley inside the ring.
Carmella entered the ring with Zelina with the scepter in hand. It looked as if they would start another brawl but instead, they hugged each other and lifted their Tag Titles above their shoulders as the segment ended.
