Rhea Ripley calls Twitter thread ‘stupid’ after fan calls her a man
WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley has hit out at a Twitter thread in which a wrestling fan has called her a man.
It all started with a Twitter user commenting on Nia Jax after her attack on Shayna Baszler this past Monday, calling her masculine. When called out by other fans for his insensitive tweet, the said user then went on to claim Ripley was born a man.
Hitting out at this vile statement, The Nightmare labelled the entire thread where this topic was being discussed as stupid.
This isn’t the first time someone has made such poor comments on the Australian. However, Ripley is still one of the biggest names on NXT and is a former champion on the brand.
Ripley seems to have stagnated on NXT ever since her defeat to Charlotte Flair on WrestleMania 36. Once a force of nature on the Black and Gold Brand, she was most recently involved in a comedic storyline involving Robert Stone.
Stone tried a lot to recruit The Nightmare to the ‘Robert Stone Brand’. This led to a two-on-one handicap match between Ripley and the team of Stone and his client Aliyah. The bout took place on Day One of the Great American Bash as Ripley made the duo tap out to take a win.
Since then, she hasn’t been involved much on NXT. A feud with Asuka for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship was hinted at. But with the title being taken off The Empress of Tomorrow earlier this week, that angle is unlikely to develop at the moment.
It remains to be seen what WWE has planned for her next.
