Big E has been an integral part of the WWE since he made his main roster debut in 2012
What a brilliant career Big E has had in the WWE. The 35-year old who made his entry into the main roster through the NXT, gained popularity through ‘The New Day.’
Formed in late 2014, the faction consisting of Kofi Kingston, King Woods and Big E himself is one of the most successful tag teams in the history of the WWE.
Having gotten off to a rocky start, ‘The New Day’ very quickly became a fan-favourite with their fancy outfits, entrance and eccentric personas.
They have won the tag team championship a number of times, and are still going strong, but without Big E.
Although Big E hasn’t left the team for good, he has been embarking on a successful singles career. He is currently the WWE Champion in his first reign.
In a recent interview with ‘The Breakfast Club’, Big E spoke about what the New Day stood for in the WWE, overcoming the odds of being black.
He was quoted as saying:
“We wanted to show that you can be yourselves, you can be unique, and still be proudly Black”
Quoting Big E’s lines, WWE SmackDown Superstar Ricochet called the WWE Champion an inspiration to all.
Taking to Twitter, Ricochet wrote:
Big E responds to Ricochet’s Tweet
Replying to Ricochet’s Tweet – calling him an inspiration, Big E replied with a GIF, calling Ricochet – “My Guy.”
