WWE star Ricochet has ended all speculation about him leaving the promotion
WWE star Ricochet has been handed a new lease on life after teaming up with Apollo Crews and Cedric Alexander in recent weeks.
While Alexander did ditch his teammates and join the Hurt Business. Ricochet has been seen on TV a lot more than when he was a singles competitor.
The 31-year-old was one of the hottest stars on the indie circuit and joined NXT. He was phenomenal on the Black and Gold brand but his time on the main roster hasn’t been great. He challenged Brock Lesnar to a title match but that was a squash at Super Showdown, something that really hurt Ricochet’s momentum.
There were rumours of him leaving WWE and those gathered a lot of steam over the past few days. However, the high-flyer took time out on Twitter to speak about the rumours.
Ricochet shut down all the tabloid tales of him leaving WWE and hit out at some outlets too.
While many believe Ricochet is one of the most talented performers on WWE’s roster, the high-flyer hasn’t achieved as much as he should have.
That is partly down to WWE not giving him a push and one fan believed Ricochet deserved more chances. However, Ricochet played that down and said that he needed to work harder to succeed.
The 31-year-old was in the doldrums after that Lesnar loss. However, he has bounced back well. Crews and Ricochet now have a rivalry with the Hurt Business and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
Alexander turning his back on them is something the Business and WWE can work on. Ricochet, for his part, still gives it his all in the ring. If he keeps pushing, he will get title opportunities, similar to Crews winning the US title.
