Matt Riddle excited for battle with Seth Rollins after his win on SmackDown

WWE Raw Superstar Matt Riddle has called out Seth Rollins after his victory that secured him a place in the Money in the Bank match.

Riddle is going to face Rollins as part of the Money in the Bank ladder match on July 18 after his win over Cesaro on SmackDown. The Super Bro tweeted a ‘Hey Bro’ after Rollins got the win on Friday.

The two have had a rivalry with their significant others, with Lisa Riddle making shameful comments about Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch.

The rivalry started at the 2020 Survivor Series after Rollins made a sarcastic comment on a WWE Watch Along stream, saying he had no interest in ever facing Riddle. After a brief interaction at the Survivor Series, they then worked together at the 2021 Royal Rumble as Rollins eliminated Riddle from the match after a Curb Stomp.

Riddle is seen as a prominent member in the future and is already teamed up with legend Randy Orton. Rollins is on the verge of moving to another storyline on SmackDown with Edge lingering in the background.

Matt Riddle explains differences with Seth Rollins

After the incidents in 2020, Riddle tried to talk to Rollins and form an understanding. He told Talksport’s Alex McCarthy:

“I said ‘Just want to wish you luck, congratulations, enjoy your time with your beautiful girlfriend – at the time, now wife – and your beautiful child.’ And he literally looked at me and he goes ‘Holy s***. I didn’t expect that. Everything I hear from people and what I expected… that was really cool. Thank you.’ And that’s where we ended it.”

This was caused due to Riddle’s wife making some comments against Becky Lynch and the other women in WWE.

However, all of this seems to be under the bridge now. The duo have since made up after the earlier dislike and are all set to go all guns blazing during the ladder match, next Sunday.
