Rob Van Dam is not opposed to the idea of being in the WWE Hall of Fame
Rob Van Dam is one of the most iconic wrestlers of the 2000s. And that’s not really only because of the success he had inside the ring.
That was always consistent with the talent and star power that he possessed. But it was mostly because of his cool sounding name, the iconic leotard, and his high-flying moves.
He left WWE a while back and even made a return in 2013 for a short while. And many rightly feel that it is about time RVD is inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Unsurprisingly, it is something that the triple crown winner and grand slam champion also agrees with. He liked several tweets from fans that mentioned a potential hall of fame induction for him.
There are several rumours doing the rounds that RVD is going to be inducted into the HOF. They are not official, but they do seem reliable considering the fact that ‘The Whole Dam Show’ has himself acknowledged it.
And fans were understandably excited about it. It seems like so was RVD, who went on to like a number of tweets mentioning the rumour.
The rumour states that he would be inducted in the Hall of Fame with the class of 2021. And he even revealed who he would want to induct him in the ceremony.
Talking to The 90s Wrestling Podcast in February, RVD stated that it just had to be Paul Heyman, who was his agent during his wrestling days.
“It kind of has to be Paul (Heyman) doesn’t it? I think it has to be Paul. Sabu doesn’t talk very good and on the real, Paul is the only real producer/agent that’s ever really had my best interests at heart and understood me. And because of that, I think it would have to be him.”
This is one news that probably ever wrestling fan would be ecstatic to hear, and we for one hope that there is truth in the rumours and we see his name in golden lights come the ceremony in April.
