Roman Reigns couldn’t control his laughter and almost breaks character thanks to Paul Heyman
Roman Reigns has become a sort of stoic villain since he turned heel in WWE. He has battled many big names and kept his title since returning to the show.
The latest victim of the Head of the Table was Daniel Bryan. Reigns defeated the former WWE champion last week and Bryan was banished from SmackDown.
There is more to the story with reports suggesting Bryan’s contract ended with WWE after that night. There is no confirmation of where Bryan could end up but that is a story for another time.
Reigns, Heyman and Jey Uso were there to celebrate this win, of sorts. Heyman took the microphone and delivered another stellar promo.
The Advocate also decided to play a 10-bell salute to Bryan in his memory. However, he stopped the bell from being played beside the ring and decided to say “ding” 10 times in his own style.
This caught Reigns a little off-guard and after the first could of dings, he could be seen trying to save himself from bursting out laughing.
This would have been a break from what his character has been on SmackDown. He has been extremely serious with no time for jokes, but SmackDown didn’t end in the way he would have wanted.
Cesaro faced Seth Rollins on a throwback edition of SmackDown and defeated the Architect. All of this happened thanks to the Usos. Jey wanted to help Rollins but the Architect shoved him aside.
Jimmy, who was making his SmackDown return after a long return didn’t enjoy that and attacked Rollins. This opened the door for Cesaro to get the win and he is set to face Reigns for the Universal title at Wrestling Backlash.
There was more to come from Cesaro though. Reigns warned Jimmy of not going against the family and in all this, Cesaro attacked all three relatives and finished SmackDown standing tall.
Cesaro is coming off a great win over Rollins at WrestleMania 37 and it will be interesting to see how he does at Backlash.
