Braun Strowman suggested he had to work hard for his WWE success while Roman Reigns had family and a bloodline that helped him
The season premiere of Friday Night SmackDown sees WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns take on Braun Strowman.
Reigns made his WWE a few months back as took out The Fiend and Strowman before becoming the champion.
The Big Dog had been missing during the coronavirus pandemic and wanted to keep his family safe. However, he made a grand return and has been excellent as a heel. Reigns has also attacked his cousin, Jey Uso, during all this as he wants to be known as the Tribal Chief.
This could be a part of Paul Heyman, his new manager, being alongside him and the Big Dog took exception to some comments made by Strowman.
The Monster Among Men was on a podcast and replied to some accusations made by Reigns. The champ believed that Strowman didn’t deserve his shot in WWE and the Monster was a little perplexed by all this.
Strowman claimed that Reigns was humble at the start and this new character could be the work of Heyman.
However, he also hit back at the champion:
“I agree with him, I don’t deserve anything. That is the difference between him and I. Roman thinks he deserves all these opportunities he has gotten and at the end of the day let’s be real.
“How many of these opportunities is he going to get if he wasn’t for his family legacy in this business?”
Family feud
Reigns comes from one of the greatest wrestling families with many legends having graced the business. He is related to The Rock, Umaga, The Usos and several other big names.
Strowman added that he had been proving the doubters wrong for a while and didn’t have a bloodline in the business:
“I didn’t have a bloodline in this industry. I was a nobody from a town of 500 people in North Carolina.”
Reigns fired back at Strowman and claimed that after he was done with him, the Monster’s family would never think of joining the business:
Doesn’t sound like a monster to me. Sounds like a little crowd pandering puppet. Don’t worry about my bloodline. When I’m done with you tomorrow night on #SmackDown live, none of your family will ever want to join this business. https://t.co/C7iSkoVHtR

Strowman does make a valid point about Reigns getting some sort of favouritism. However, the Big Dog is one of the most talented stars in WWE and his new heel persona has been incredible.
This is the best version of Reigns we have seen since he made his WWE debut, and it will be interesting to see what is next on his list.
