Roman Reigns celebrated his birthday on May 25th but Paul Heyman had a few things to say to the WWE Universe
WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, turned 36 years old this Tuesday. But Paul Heyman being Paul Heyman, had a long rant lined up.
Reigns and Heyman have been aligned since August 2020 and have gone on to dominate SmackDown.
‘The Tribal Chief’ has done his talking inside the ring while Paul Heyman, his manager, has taken on the microphone responsibilities.
And in another show of support, Heyman wrote a long message on his Instagram account where he slammed WWE for posting about Reigns excessively in order to cash in on his fame.
“Today is @romanreigns‘ birthday. In a blatant attempt to capitalize on the enormous global popularity of your #TribalChief, @WWE is posting on every imaginable social media platform “today is your day to CELEBRATE” and / or “ACKNOWLEDGE Roman Reigns!” Please do not CELEBRATE nor ACKNOWLEDGE Roman Reigns simply because it’s his birthday. CELEBRATE / ACKNOWLEDGE Roman Reigns because of his accomplishments….”
The long message went on to list more reasons why the WWE Universe should acknowledge Reigns on all days of the year.
The entire message can be read on his Instagram post or seen in the image above. Heyman has used social media to great effect when it comes to raising Reigns’ stocks.
‘The Tribal Chief’ is yet to like or comment on the post. The master orator recently spoke in an interview speaking about why he wanted to work with Roman Reigns after split with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36. He said:
“For me to pursue, in front of the camera, life after Brock Lesnar, the only lure that could seduce me to even attempting such an impossible goal was to do it with someone that would live their life in the pursuit of achieving that impossibility, and that’s Roman Reigns.”
The two seem to be untouchable on the Blue brand but Jimmy Uso’s re-introduction recently has seen a few cracks appear here and there, with a possible feud against Seth Rollins on the horizon.
