Corey Graves believes Roman Reigns matching up with Brock Lesnar in WWE
WWE commentator and former wrestler Corey Graves feels that Brock Lesnar’s level is being reached by Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Reigns is the current WWE Universal Champion on SmackDown and is the biggest heel in the business. Talking on WWE After the Bell , he says: (h/t Wrestling Inc)
“I love, love, love Brock Lesnar as WWE or Universal or any champion because Brock Lesnar [raises the value. People go, oh, Brock’s not here every week. That’s okay. Bruno Sammartino didn’t defend his title every week, he didn’t do it on T.V. for free every week. It was an attraction, it was a video game boss in real life, Brock Lesnar was that dude.
“That being said, Roman Reigns is very close, dare I say eclipsing Brock Lesnar, but you can’t leave Brock out of the conversation.”
Lesnar has been missing since his WrestleMania 36 loss to Drew McIntyre, but is rumored to make his return later this year. ‘The Beast Incarnate’ is rumored to renew his rivalry with Roman Reigns, when he returns. This time around it will be a different ballgame as Reigns has taken his game to another level.
Reigns is now going to face Edge at WWE Money in the Bank for the title. They met earlier at WrestleMania 37. The return of John Cena is imminent according to reports, which means a possible fight upcoming.
Cena is going to make his return after being out for over a year against an in-form Reigns. The 16 time Champion has been missing since his Firefly match against Bray Wyatt last year. His return will make things interesting giving Reigns’ new gimmick with Paul Heyman.
Reigns is set to take his game to another level as things get heated ahead of SummerSlam
