Goldberg returns and challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Elimination Chamber
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg returned to Friday Night SmackDown and challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship title at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia.
Reigns opened the SmackDown episode today along with Paul Heyman and The Usos. The special counsel admitted that The Beast looked like a fool, and it was during the WWE Championship Match he realized that Reigns doesn’t need protection from Lesnar. It was vice versa.
Heyman asked the crowd to acknowledge Reigns as The Tribal Chief when Goldberg came out and made his way to the ring. He told Reigns to acknowledge him as his next opponent at Elimination Chamber. Golberg said, “you’re next.”
Roman Reigns to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38
Reigns retained his Universal Title at Royal Rumble despite the loss against Seth Rollins via disqualification; on the other hand, Lesnar lost his title to Bobby Lashley but came back strongly to win the Royal Rumble.
Lesnar has chosen WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38. He also wants it to be a title vs title match. He has also added him to the Elimination Chamber title match against Lashley and four others.
The Tribal Chief interfered during the Lesnar vs Lashley match and cost The Beast the game and the title. Lensar was also betrayed by Heyman.
This will be Brock Lesnar’s first appearance in the Elimination Chamber match. It will be interesting to see if Lesnar can get his title back against five other tough competitors.
