‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns is the longest-reigning Universal Champion of WWE
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has again made his name in the record books, but this time, it is a big one as he became the longest-reigning Universal Champion in WWE history.
He is now the reigning title-holder for 504 days and counting, breaking the previous record set by Brock Lesnar, which was of 503 days. It has also been confirmed that this is the six-longest World Championship reign in WWE history.
“History-making. Record-breaking”
Reigns ended Brock Lesnar’s 503-day Title reign in August 2018 at SummerSlam that year. This marked his first Universal Title win for the Tribal Chief. He is now a two-time Universal Champion and the longest-reigning.
Roman Reigns has been in top-form from the last year
Reigns defeated former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat at Payback 2020 to win the title for the second time in his career. His reign is the second largest as of now. He made a record of not losing a single match at a pay-per-view last year.
He became the first man to win against two opponents in the main event of WrestleMania. During his latest Championship reign, he defeated some of the promotion’s big names like Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Edge, Rey Mysterio etc.… Also, he broke the record of a 698-day undefeated run in singles competition.
The Bully Dog also created history by breaking the merchandise sales record and has been the most popular among fans worldwide.
