WWE are finding it difficult to find Roman Reigns’ Hell in a Cell opponent

Published by

Roman Reigns’ next big match will be at WWE Hell in a Cell

Reigns successfully defended his WWE Universal Championship at the recently concluded WrestleMania Backlash. ‘The Head of the Table’ defeated ‘The Swiss King of Swing’ Cesaro via. submission to continue his dominance in the blue brand.

Reigns has been on an absolute tear in WWE SmackDown, with no opponent coming close to defeating him. His next big title defense will be at WWE Hell in a Cell which is on the 20th of June.

His next challenger hasn’t been announced yet, but it has been confirmed by famed journalist Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his match at Hell in a Cell wouldn’t be against the returning Jimmy Uso.

Uso recently returned from injury, and it might be a while before Reigns and his cousin begin a feud. The possible reason for this might be the recent tough spot he was put in by his twin brother Jey.

Hence, for now, the WWE will have to weigh in other options for Reigns’ title defense at Hell in a Cell.

Possible options for Roman Reigns’ next title defense match at Hell in A Cell

Reigns just defeated Cesaro at WrestleMania Backlash, and a rematch might be on the cards. But after Rollins brutalized Cesaro last week, the Swiss hasn’t yet made it out of the hospital.

Hence, a clash against Rollins might make sense.

Another option would be Shinsuke Nakamura. He has been on an absolute roll and his form might land him a title showdown with ‘The Tribal Chief’.

It is worth noting that Nakamura came inches close to challenging Reigns earlier this year, after making it to the final of the gauntlet match.
