WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns opens up for the first time on Vince McMahon’s retirement
Recently Vince McMahon announced that he would be retiring from WWE effective immediately. Since then Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan have been named as the new CEO of the company. Triple H was reappointed as the EVP of Talent Relations and also took control of the creative team.
WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns recently shared his thoughts on McMahon’s controversial retirement. He was seen leaving The Today Show this week when he stopped to sign autographs and also interacted with the media.
When asked about Vince’s retirement the champion wished the best for his former boss. This is what he told,
“I just wish him nothing but luck and happiness in the future. It’s been great.” (From 0:44 – 0:50)
During the same conversation, The Tribal Chief mentioned that it had been a great experience working with the McMahon family. He also mentioned that he is pumped for his last man standing match against Brock Lesnar this Saturday at SummerSlam.
Roman Reigns will face off against Brock Lesnar for the final time at SummerSlam
The Tribal Chief will be facing off against Brock Lesnar for probably the final time in WWE. It has been a long-going rivalry between these two which spanned over seven years.
Lesnar recently returned on the June 17 episode of SmackDown and planted Roman Reigns with an F5 to reignite the feud. WWE later announced that these two will be going up against each other at Summer Slam in a last-man-standing match.
It will be interesting to see who comes out as the winner. However many have predicted that Roman Reigns will retain his title at the event.
