Roman Reigns will be taking on Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2021 in October
The WWE has lined up a massive heavyweight clash between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2021 in Saudi Arabia. It is scheduled to take place on the 21st of October.
This will be the third edition of the event, which began in 2018. King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh will be playing host.
The match will be for the WWE Universal Championship.
However, Reigns has a crucial match against ‘The Demon King’ Finn Balor coming up. The match is set to take place at the upcoming Extreme Rules, with Reigns’ Universal Championship on the line.
A rejuvenated Balor will be looking forward to getting his hands on the Universal Championship for the second time.
If Reigns ends up losing, he will be facing Lesnar with no title on the line.
Roman Reigns took to Twitter to react to the announcement of the marquee clash with Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2021.
He highlighted the importance given to the ‘Tribal Chief’ when it comes to fight bookings and announcements.
His Tweet read:
“They line up months in advance to acknowledge their #TribalChief, Beasts and Demons included. TopOfTheGame #Smackdown.”
Paul Heyman, ‘The Special Counsel to The Tribal Chief’ will be accompanying Reigns to the ring this time, after having accompanied Lesnar for years and years.
It is to be noted that, Lesnar returned to the WWE in more than a year. He made his entry following the conclusion of John Cena vs Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2021.
