Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman seem to be working together after this week’s SmackDown
WWE SmackDown ended with a huge moment as Roman Reigns was seen with Paul Heyman ahead of Payback.
Reigns faces The Fiend and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match for the WWE Universal title. The Big Dog made his WWE return at SummerSlam as he attacked his two rivals and this was one of the biggest moments from the PPV.
Reigns has been in several big battles over the years, including those with Brock Lesnar. The Beast has been managed by Heyman throughout his WWE career so it was a huge shock seeing Reigns become a Paul Heyman Guy on SmackDown.
Heyman is one of the greatest agents, managers and speakers in the history of professional wrestling. Almost everyone associated with him has won the top title, so it makes sense to align with him.
However, Reigns has always been a loner and it was a shock seeing the pair together. Many questions were asked about what was going on between them, and the Big Dog has responded to this:
Been waiting on this for a long time. Here we go!! https://t.co/CaZDc2wHKM

It seems that Reigns was keen on this tie-up in the past too, and it will be interesting to see how things go from now on.
Time to claim the gold?
Reigns was destined to win the Universal title from Goldberg at WrestleMania. However, he backed out from the event due to fears from the coronavirus pandemic.
It was surprising to see him return to action after so many months as the virus is still present but WWE has taken a lot of steps to ensure the safety of their performers.
Reigns certainly made a huge impact by taking out Strowman and the Fiend at SummerSlam. The Big Dog might have missed a lot of action over the past five months. However, he is ready to become the champion and Payback could see him claim the gold.
