Roman Reigns admitted that he had the same blood as Jey Uso but claimed things would not go his cousin’s way ahead of Clash of Champions
It is family vs family at Clash of Champions as Roman Reigns defends his Universal title against cousin Jey Uso.
Reigns has been on a different level ever since he returned to WWE and teamed up with Paul Heyman. He has turned into The Bad Guy, it seems, and his first title defence will be against his relative.
Jey, for his part, is known to be a tag team specialist with his brother Jimmy. However, he won the right to face the champion and the pair have traded blows, verbally mostly.
That changed on SmackDown as Reigns attacked Jey to close out the show after a brilliant promo from the former tag team champion.
Reigns, though, wasn’t taking things lightly against his cousin. He sent a warning to his rival and even brought up their bloodline in all this:
“From the porch to the PPV only our family could do that. I am telling you right now, this ain’t your moment Uce.
“I love you. We come from the same bloodline but I paid attention. I learned differently from you, I was groomed differently than you. You over here trying to level up, I live at this level, I am this level.
“Tomorrow night, I am going to show you why, baby.”

A battle for the ages?
Reigns turning heel has been great for SmackDown, and he isn’t taking chances with anyone. The Big Dog was respectful at the start when Jey won the chance to face him, but things have changed drastically leading up to Clash of Champions.
The champion has hit out at Jey, even though his cousin just wants to come out of the shadow of his other relatives.
Reigns should be the favourite to retain the title. However, the important story has been his development as a heel.
This seems to be the best version of Reigns we have got, and it will be interesting to see how things go on Sunday.
