Daniel Bryan has another chance to take a crack at Roman Reigns and his belt
Last week’s Friday Night SmackDown had Daniel Bryan vs Jey Uso as the main event. If Bryan won, he would have had the chance to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal title.
As fate would have it, that did not happen. The match ended in a double count-out. But on this week’s episode of Talking Smack, Paul Heyman stated that he had Reigns’ authority to set up another title date.
And thus, a steel cage match between ‘Jucey’ and the ‘American Dragon’ was set for next week’s SmackDown. If Bryan is victorious, then he would get a title shot against the champion at Fastlane.
If he loses, then he would have to acknowledge ‘The Big Dog’ as the greatest wrestler he has seen and call him his ‘Tribal Chief’. Not a bad trade-off if you ask us.
But ‘The Big Dog’ thinks that it would not even get to that point. He took to his Twitter account to predict what would happen to Bryan when he takes on Jey Uso in the steel cage match.
He says that the outcome would be similar to what happened earlier this week, when Bryan was knocked out cold on the ground.
This seems like a good storyline for all three involved. For Reigns, it would keep him busy until his WrestleMania 37 showdown with Edge.
Last week, ‘The Rated R Superstar’ chose him as his opponent for a title match at the grandest stage of wrestling next month.
It remains to be seen what comes out of this new feud for Reigns, but it seems obvious that he would still be holding his belt by the time WrestleMania 37 arrives.
