Drew McIntyre had claimed that Randy Orton and Roman Reigns had family that helped them get into WWE
Drew McIntyre called Roman Reigns and Randy Orton out over their careers in WWE.
The pair are two of the top heels in the promotion and both are currently holding the top titles on Raw and SmackDown.
However, McIntyre brought up how Orton and Reigns had family to help them get into WWE. Orton is the son of Cowboy Bob Orton, a WWE legend, and is the grandson of Bob Orton.
Reigns, for his part, comes from the illustrious Anoa’i wrestling family. Jimmy Snuka is one of the members of the family while the Usos and The Rock are Reigns’ cousins.
McIntyre faced off against Reigns this week while taking on Jey Uso and brought up how nepotism might have helped the pair get into WWE:
“Forging a legacy for myself, no family to open doors for me. First I beat Randy and reclaim my WWE Title, then I’m coming for you Roman”

Not pleased with the family angle
McIntyre will try to reclaim the Raw title from Orton this week. The champion from Raw then faces Reigns in a champion vs champion clash at Survivor Series.
Reigns wished McIntyre the best but didn’t take too kindly to the family angle:
“The whole ‘family opening the doors’ thing is so played out and just an unoriginal excuse. Free lesson for you, Drew. It’s not about getting in the door, it’s about owning the room. Which you will never do..while I’m around. Good luck on Monday at #RAW. #SurvivorSeries”

McIntyre is right in suggesting that he has had to work hard to get into WWE. He was touted as the next big thing in his first run but didn’t get it all his way and was released by the company.
He worked on his character on other promotions and made a stunning return by winning the Royal Rumble and then getting the title from Brock Lesnar.
However, Orton and Reigns are two of the best WWE have produced, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top on Raw.
