Roman Reigns trolls Adam Pearce after helping official win huge No.1 contender match

Adam Pearce is the new No.1 contender to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal title

Roman Reigns was in his best heel mood as he took out his frustration on Adam Pearce.

All of this stemmed from last week’s battle with Kevin Owens. Reigns blamed Pearce for setting this up and costing Owens with all the injuries KO suffered.

Reigns was further angered when Pearce and WWE set up a gauntlet match to decide who The Tribal Chief would face off at the Royal Rumble.

The Big Dog wanted to choose his rival for the clash and promised Pearce would pay. The WWE official was forced into the match and there was more madness to follow.

Many would have thought that Reigns wanted Pearce, who has wrestled in the indies previously, to get a hammering from Shinsuke Nakamura.

Nakamura was set to win the gauntlet match before Pearce was forced in. However, Reigns and Jey Uso had other plans.

They first beat up Nakamura and then Pearce. The pair then put Pearce over Nakamura to make the WWE official the No.1 contender for Reigns’ title.

Reigns mocks Pearce

The Big Dog was in no mood for jokes, even though he was smiling during the final segment on SmackDown.

He posted on Twitter and called out the suit guy and claimed this was his trip to the “Island of Relevancy”.

Reigns also said that Pearce would only be safe if he allowed him to be, and it will be interesting to see how this rivalry builds.

The Big Dog taking on an authority figure might not be to everyone’s taste. However, Reigns has been gold since turning heel and SmackDown has been knocking it out of the park with his segments.

Pearce isn’t a bad wrestler but its just that no one has seen him doing great things in the WWE ring.
