WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns breaks character at WWE Live Event and asks fans not to share the video.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns recently became the unified Universal Champion at WrestleMania. Following his return to WWE during SummerSlam 2020, he has been a dominant force and is becoming one of the All-time greats.
The Tribal Chief has been a heel since he came back, but recently, he broke his character in a WWE Live Event and did a babyface promo.
He recently faced off against Drew McIntyre in a WWE Universal title match at the Saturday Night’s Main Event house show. He defeated McIntyre and then cut a babyface promo. He also requested fans not to share his babyface promo online.
The Bull Dog won the Universal title at Payback 2020, defeating The Fiend and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match. Since then, he has faced some of the biggest stars over the past two years, but no one has managed to dethrone him. His heel turn at SummerSlam 2020 was one of the highlights of his career.
The Undisputed Universal Champion has spoken about how he always wanted to turn heel.
“I’ve always wanted to turn heel. I didn’t feel like I should have been the babyface out of the Shield group. We all agreed. We thought it should have been Seth and then kept me as a bad guy. But, you know, it just happens the way it happens, the numbers lined up the way they did,” said Reigns. [H/T FOX Sports]
It will be interesting to see whether a character change is on the cards for The Tribal Chief in the future.
