WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns warns cousin The Rock and John Cena from returning to WWE
Roman Reigns has advised The Rock and John Cena against making their rumoured return to WWE this year.
In a recent interview, Reigns was asked about facing the two WWE legends at a future PPV. He replied saying: (h/t SportsNation)
“If I were these guys, I don’t know if I’d wanna come back and deal with me. I am a problem right now for everybody, so if I were them I would stay on set. I’d keep pumping out these streaming service movies. Don’t come to the ring… is what I would do.”
As per multiple reports, John Cena is going to return to face a rampant Roman Reigns at Summerslam 2021. Cena has been out of the game since WrestleMania 36 and is currently promoting his film F9: The Fast Saga.
Meanwhile , The Rock last wrestled at WrestleMania 29, where he lost the WWE Championship to John Cena. WWE hopes to bring ‘The Great One’ back for Survivor Series later this year. Reigns vs Rock has been teased multiple times in the last few months.
However, The Tribal Chief has another issue coming up at Hell in a Cell.
Reigns faces Mysterio at Hell in a Cell
Rey Mysterio gets an opportunity to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Hell in a Cell. The rivalry between the pair has gotten worse over past weeks, to a point where Reigns tossed Mysterio’s son Dominik outside the ring.
Reigns is on a dominant streak since claiming the title in August 2020. He has defended his title valiantly, including a Triple Threat match against Edge and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37. Reigns is undoubtedly the biggest thing in WWE at this point and looks unstoppable.
However, Mysterio will be looking to upset the odds at Hell in a Cell. He is no stranger to facing heavyweights in his WWE career. The 265-pound Reigns has a size advantage, but could be outsmarted by the speed of Mysterio.
Mysterio will go into the match with vengeance for his family. He will be aiming to hold the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship and WWE Universal Championship simultaneously by beating Reigns.
