Ronda Rousey made her first WWE appearance at the 2014 SummerSlam but not as a competitor. During a backstage interview, she was asked if she would ever cross over to pro wrestling. Rousey replied, “You never know.”

At WrestleMania 31, she had a memorable appearance as she was seated ringside until The Rock asked her to come up to the ring so that they could confront Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. This happened after The Rock was slapped by Stephanie. Rousey tossed Triple H out of the ring with ease and then she stopped McMahon from slapping her and teased an armbar before throwing her outside the ring. The Rock and Rousey celebrated together inside the ring to end the segment.

Rousey shocked the WWE Universe when she made her way to the ring right after Asuka had won the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Rousey pointed towards the WrestleMania sign. ESPN immediately made the big revelation that Rousey had signed a full-time contract with WWE.

Ronda Rousey’s achievements

Ronda Rousey is a big name and she is destined for big things in the company. However, she has already some impressive accolades which we will discuss in the following segment.

Rousey made her in-ring debut in WWE teaming with Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 34 to take on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag team match. Rousey won her opening bout.

Rousey won her first and only championship in WWE till now when she breezed past Alexa Bliss at the 2018 SummerSlam. This made Rousey the RAW Women’s Champion and she successfully defended her title in the main event of WWE’s first all-women’s pay-per-view Evolution against Nikki Bella.

She was also a part of the main event of WrestleMania 35 in a triple threat winner takes all match where SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch also participated. This was the first time that a women’s match closed WWE’s flagship event.

After losing her title at the event, she took a hiatus and returned at this year’s Royal Rumble and won the women’s Royal Rumble match. She challenged Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38 but lost the match.

Rousey will get another shot at the title at WrestleMania Backlash in an “I Quit” match.
