Former WWE star Ronda Rousey spotted filming in Philadelphia
Ronda Rousey was seen filming for Season 3 of the expanded ‘Peyton’s Places’ in Philadelphia.
The former WWE Raw Women’s Champion and UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion was shooting at South Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, the former ECW Arena.
The two seasons aired with Peyton Manning, the two-time Super Bowl champion interviewing former NFL players, coaches and others about the history of the game and its impact globally.
According to PW Insider, Rousey is filming with Paul Heyman and D-Von Dudley discussing the history of wrestling in the city.
There is a scene of the arena which includes a wrestling ring from The Monster Factory from New Jersey. It also includes many “weapons” as part of the set components.
Rousey has also seen filming in different cities across the country, including WWE legend Kurt Angle in Pittsburgh.
The dates for the release of the new season is yet to be known. However, it is going to air sometime in 2021.
Ronda is missing from in-ring action for almost a year. She is expecting her first child with husband, Travis Browne. The pair is married after a private ceremony in 2021, in Hawaii.
Ronda’s Glorious Career in UFC
Ronda Rousey began martial arts at a young age. She began judo as a 11-year old. Rousey is a bronze medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in women’s judo.
Ronda switched to mixed martial arts in 2010, debuting with Strikeforce a year later. In 2012, UFC announced that Rousey became the first female fighter to join the company. She took the game to another level winning the UFC Bantamweight Championship, in a record breaking reign. Holly Holm and Misha Tate were no match for the “Rowdy” fighter.
Rousey’s three year reign as champion is one of the biggest feats in UFC history. She returned and lost to Amanda Nunes, after which she retired in 2017.
She is an inductee of the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018.
