Former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey will be coming back on SmackDown as a regular
Ronda Rousey has not been on some in-ring action for a long time now. She last made her appearance back in WrestleMania 35, where she lost a triple threat contest against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
She made her debut at the end of the 2018 Royal Rumble and went on to win the WWE Raw Women’s Championship, which she held for half a year.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is pushing for Ronda Rousey to make her return during this Royal Rumble event and could also end up winning the event.
Another report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio said that Rousey will be back as a full-time WWE Superstar on Friday Night SmackDown.
“She’s back. She’s going to be back as a regular on SmackDown. But she’ll probably do some Raw shows. I think she will be on Raw on Monday. That’s kind of what has been hinted at to me.
In an intense Women’s Royal Rumble, former Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey returned to the squared circle after a long time.
She eliminated Nikki A.S.H and Brie Bella. Then, the final entrant of the match Shayna Baszler joined forces with her old friend and dominated in the ring with continuous elimination.
The final four were Rousey, Baszler, Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair. The Queen of WWE eliminated Baszler and Belair, leaving her alone with Rousey to determine the winner.
Flair charged at Rousey; however, the latter caught Flair and suplexed her over the top rope.
