Former World Champion Ronda Rousey challenged Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38
Ronda Rousey is going to challenge Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38. After a hiatus of three years, Rousey returned to the ring during WWE Royal Rumble 2022 and won it. She then headed to Monday Night Raw and confronted Becky Lynch. The Baddest Woman on the Planet said that she would take a decision on SmackDown.
Ronda Rousey made her return to the Blue brand to choose her opponent. Sonya Deville was joined by SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in the squared circle.
She revealed that Royal Rumble winner Rousey has chosen Raw Champion Becky Lynch as her WrestleMania opponent. However, Flair said that she made the right choice as a match-up of moms at WrestleMania is more straightforward than fighting The Queen.
Flair was offered a match against Sasha Banks. That’s when Rousey made her way to the ring and made a fierce statement.
“I didn’t fly halfway across the country in an ice storm to have a chat,” Rousey warned. “You’re not special. You were just first. I will see you at WrestleMania, b*tch!” Rousey exclaimed.
In the end, Deville tried a cheap shot but got severely beaten by Rousey, who put her down with an armbar.
After Ronda Rousey chose Flair as her opponent for WrestleMania 38, RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch took to Twitter and reacted to the choice as “Smart Choice.”
Smart choice, Ronnie. Go for the gazpacho.
However, Big Time Becks has a new veteran as her opponent for Elimination Chamber. She will be facing WWE Hall of Famer Lita for the Raw Women’s Champion.
