Rumor Roundup: Jeff Hardy

According to the Wrestling Observer, Jeff Hardy and Shane Strickland should be showing up in AEW soon. Jeff has been in the news as his AEW debut has been speculated by fans for a long time. The Charismatic Enigma has made a lot of fans owing to his in-ring exploits as well as high-flying spots. Fans are waiting with bated breath to see the 5-time Intercontinental Champion in action after his release from WWE.

2. Randy Orton got hurt in his match this week on RAW

Randy Orton

RK-Bro squared up against The Street Profits in a tag team match this week on RAW. Towards the finish, Montez Ford executed a frog splash which looked a bit awkward as he fell on Orton’s shoulders. Orton immediately looked hurt as he favored his right shoulder. He was later escorted backstage after the match by Matt Riddle and the referee.

According to Fightful Select, Randy Orton was legitimately hurt and it led to the match being changed on the go. RK-Bro was supposed to win the match, and head into next week’s triple threat match with momentum. RK-Bro is scheduled to face the tag champs Alpha Academy and the team of Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens next week on RAW. Due to Orton’s injury, the ending of the match was changed as The Street Profits got the victory. Orton apparently had issues with his ribs and he got winded, which deterred his movements.

5. Ricochet’s push could be short term

According to Ringside News, Ricochet’s rumored push is not yet decided and could be a short term thing.

In an interview with the Ringside News, a tenured member of the creative team said: “Ricochet is having a good week. This week.” He has a big IC Title match on SmackDown this week, and that is a good spot to be in on the road to WrestleMania. That being said, “We’ve been down this road before. Let’s see if it lasts.”

Ricochet has a lot of potential, but he hasn’t got the necessary push he deserves. He has been in the mid-card for a long time now. Hopefully, fans will get to see more of him in the coming days.
