Lana shocked the Raw roster by becoming the fifth member of the Women’s Survivor Series team
WWE is ready for its next PPV with Survivor Series 2020 coming up. Raw was ready after Hell in a Cell and the brand needs to make its Survivor Series teams.
The men and women will each have five-member teams taking on the others from SmackDown and NXT. Raw got three men into their side with two spots left, however, the women’s team is all set.
Adam Pearce confirmed that the tag champions, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, were in the side. So were Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose, the Sexy Muscle Friends.
The final place was also decided via a Fatal 4-Way match which somehow Lana won. The Ravishing Russian used her smarts to kick a few people out before getting the pin, and that shocked the rest of her teammates.
Jax acted like she was happy for Lana but sent her through a table, for a sixth time. While Lana was confident of doing well, her husband, Miro (Rusev) posted his thoughts on the same.
The AEW star claimed Lana is a “survivor” for sure and used a hashtag to suggest she should be the team captain:
Being the team captain provides a little bit of power and decision making ability ahead of Survivor. The Raw brand is still looking to name their captains, and it isn’t just Lana wanting to lead them.
Jax and Baszler have had a lot of friction between them, despite being the Women’s tag champions. The pair both want to be the captain and Baszler even tweeted that she was the captain for the team:
Lana being the captain would be a huge surprise and she seems to be the odd one out in the team. However, WWE have given mixed signals regarding the Ravishing Russian. She has been punished, it seems, by going through tables six times already but has won big matches and even faced Asuka for the Raw Women’s title in recent weeks.
Survivor Series is one of the biggest events for WWE and it will be interesting to see how Lana does in all this.
