Ric Flair is currently embroiled in a romantic angle with WWE star Lacey Evans on RAW

The past few weeks have seen Ric Flair betray his own daughter to be romantically involved with Lacey Evans on WWE RAW.

The Nature Boy helped Evans beat Charlotte Flair on RAW last week. He tripped his own daughter and helped Evans pin The Queen secure the win.

This confirmed his heel turn and made clear as to what the promotion has in mind for Charlotte Flair in the coming weeks, shortly after she returned to WWE at TLC 2020.

This storyline has largely pleased wrestling fans who were probably fed up with seeing the WWE Hall of Famer portrayed as weak and feeble on the show in recent months.

One person who thinks this is a great storyline in particular for the Nature Boy is Ryan McKinnell.

Ric Flair seems in his element in his new storyline with Lacey Evans

Speaking on the latest episode of the Busted Open podcast, McKinnell highlighted how he was not always in agreement with how WWE used Ric Flair with Charlotte.

He states that the new feud between Evans and The Queen is good as both are physical and agile. However, he adds that this is the most beneficial for the Nature Boy.

“That is great because I feel like it fits Ric’s character. It’s something that we know from Ric; he’s a lady’s man.”

He added that it’s also not far from reality and is something that makes sense as well.

“It also fits the ways of the world. The young beautiful blonde being with the rich, old, powerful. It seems to align and make sense.”

It now remains to be seen how WWE chooses to carry this storyline in the coming weeks. This could also turn out to be a golden opportunity for Evans to land her first belt with the promotion.
